Web Filtering Company Bloxx Goes Down Under the Depths of The Net
Rapidly Growing Web Filtering Company Looks To Continue Global Expansion
/Security and Encryption News Articles/ - March 28, 2008 - Bloxx, the enterprise web filtering specialist, today announced that it will continue its international expansion by opening a sales office in Brisbane in Australia. The operation will be headed up by Hadley Weir, who brings a broad range of expertise in domestic and international IT and security sales and marketing to the new Australian arm of the company
The company, listed in the 2007 Deloitte Technology UK Fast 50 and the EMEA Fast 500, is attracting a growing number of new customers following the launch last year of its Tru-View Technology web filtering appliance. This places Bloxx web filtering at the forefront of the content filtering market by combining the best of conventional tools with new intelligent real-time identification methods. Tru-View Technology analyses and blocks websites quicker and more accurately than other web filters which use manual classification and keyword scoring and offers the only viable way to keep pace with the continued dramatic growth of the Internet.
"The Australian web filtering market is currently dominated by the bigger players and following the recent acquisition of Surfcontrol by Websense, customers now have a dramatically reduced choice and reseller partners are disillusioned," said Bloxx Australia Managing Director, Hadley Weir. "Our revolutionary Tru-View Technology translates into significant customer benefits and combined with our no 'cost per user' pricing model and our no nonsense approach to business, we believe we can be very successful in the Australian market."
"In support of the launch, we are looking to sign up a limited number of top tier resellers and rewards will be excellent for the right partners."
"Weir brings a great combination of proven success in security sales and first hand knowledge of the Australian market which we're planning to utilise in this recruit of top tier resellers," said Bloxx Managing Director, Eamonn Doyle. "This expansion into Australia marks yet another significant milestone in the ongoing growth and success of Bloxx."
Weir, who most recently was the Sales Director for Irish-based audit and compliance company PixAlert, is a seasoned IT and Security executive with over 14 years of experience in developing new markets. Prior to PixAlert, Weir managed the sales division of Skynet Global, where he was involved in the first deployment of wireless hotspots across Australian airports. Previously, he held a number of sales and marketing positions with Australian IT companies, including Alstoms New IT Services division in Sydney.
